FALLOUT OF THE 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS- THE PDP WILL BOUNCE BACK BETTER AND STRONGER - Hon Ndubuisi Nwobu (former state chairman)

FALLOUT OF 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS- THE PDP WILL RECLAIM ITS MANDATE AND BOUNCE BACK BETTER AND STRONGER  - Hon Sir Ndubuisi Nwobu

By Emma Asie

A former State chairman of the PDP and a key player in Anambra politics, Honorable Sir Ndubuisi Nwobu (Obuka Awka) has reassured party faithfuls and all Nigerians that the party will bounce back from its current travails better, stronger and more united.

He gave the assurance when he featured as guest on Alpha Radio s Political Heat, anchored by Emmanuel Asiegbunam, (Mr E on the Mic).

Hon Nwobu condemned in strong terms the frivolous and ill-advised Exparte order of the Benue state Federal High Court that asked the party's national chairman Senator Iyorchia Ayu, to quit parading himself as as the national chairman based on his alleged suspension by the Executives of Ward in Gboko Local Government Area of the state. According to him, that order ought not to have been given in the first place as going by Section 57 (1) of the PDP s constitution, the ward and indeed all other organs, branches and arms of the party do not have the powers to discipline any member of the National Excos,of which Sen Ayu is the chief. He recalled that same scenario played out in the days of Uche Secondus but that the judge that gave such similar orders then, later faced disciplinary measures from the National Judicial Council (NJC). He called on the PDP National leadership to quickly report the Benue Federal High Court judge to the NJC for similar disciplinary measures and regretted that some judicial officers due to inducements, have refused to learn from the past.

Nonetheless, he praised the party for living up to it's philosophy of being a law abiding party by asking the chairman to step aside and in accordance with it's rules, having the most Senior national officer from Sen Ayu s northern zone in person of Iliya Umar Damagun, take over in acting capacity. He expressed confidence that come April 17 when the substantive suit will be heard, the order will be set aside and the entire suit dismissed for lack of merit as it has no place in the party s constitution. He opined strongly that Sen Ayu will resume office after April 17.

He was certain that the party despite it's current relatively unimpressive show in the state assembly elections, will bounce back stronger and better. He traced the party's poor outing in the state to the bandwagon effect of the Labour party and Obidient Movement, noting that most of the candidates of the Labor Party, and YPP, that won, were members of the PDP that for one reason or the other did not make it through the party's primaries and decamped to these parties at the last minute and rode on the wings of Peter Obi s popularity to emerge victorious.
At the national level, the former state chairman, praised the party for it's impressive outing and insisted that the electoral umpire, INEC robbed the party of the presidency by refusing to transmit election results electronically real time as it's guidelines provided and it's chairman Prof Mahmoud Yakubu and other INEC officials promised in many fora. He was optimistic that the tribunals will restore the party s mandate.

The former state chairman also berated the G5 for it's roles in the woes of the party especially Governor Wike of Rivers for spearheading and bankrolling the crises. He noted sadly that most of G5 governors lost their election as a result of this. He condemned Gov Wike for seeking for the resignation of the party s chairman on unrealistic terms, pointing out that the Group under Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state as Head of the Zoning committee, denied the south east the zoning of the party s presidential ticket to the zone because of Wike s desire to clinch to clinch the ticket. In his own words "Due to selfish reasons, no member of that committee which was made up of 36 persons from each states of the federation, wrote a minority report, hence the decision to throw the race open was seen as an unanimous one. But today we can also see where it has led us to".
But according to him the PDP being a resilient party, will bounce back stronger.

HOOLIGANISM IN POWER? IDEMILI SOUTH SAYS NO!

HOOLIGANISM IN POWER?

It was Fela Kuti of blessed memory that sang "Beast of No Nation" a song that talks of thuggery and violence by people entrusted with political power and the evil effect of such acts.

Today in Idemili South, due to the twisted and immoral nature of the politics played by some political parties, we have not just mediocres but "beasts" and hooligans battling for elective political posts reserved for people with integrity and credibility.

Someone that is known to have embezzled and mismanaged the funds of Keke drivers when he served as chief revenue collector...

Someone that Keke drivers gathered in their numbers and protested against his emergence as a party candidate in a popular radio station

Someone with dubious and questionable antecedents of violence, thuggery and hooliganism.

Someone who is NOT trustworthy or reliable in any manner whatsoever

Someone that cannot point to a single project executed for his community in his private or public capacity!

Is that the kind of person the good people of Idemili South want to represent them in  Anambra state House of Assembly?

TUFIAKWA!

Idemili south needs someone who has

πŸ‘ Character
πŸ‘ Compassion
πŸ‘ Commitment
πŸ‘ Credibility
πŸ‘ Competence
πŸ‘ Comportment
πŸ‘ Capacity

Only one man meets all these criteria

DR SIR UCHENNA OBIENU
 (NWAWELUGO OBA)

Meets all these criteria!

Let's vote him for HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY IDEMILI SOUTH

FOR A MORE PROSPEROUS IDEMILI SOUTH, I AM THE CANDIDATE TO BEAT- -DR SIR UCHE OBIENU (NWAWELUGO)

"For A More Prosperous and united Idemili South, I m the candidate to beat"-
- Dr Sir Uche Obienu (Nwawelugo)

By Hon Emma Asie

The candidate of Labour Party for Idemili South State Constituency, Sir Dr Uche Obienu (Nwawelugo) has asserted that with his training and preparedness, he remains the candidate to beat at the polls.

Sir Uche Obienu stated this when he appeared on an interactive phone-in political program on Alpha Radio 106.5FM tagged Political Heat which was anchored by Emmanuel Asiegbunam (Mr E on the Mic)
The Labour Party candidate used the opportunity to clarify that he had resigned officially and formally from the PDP and challenged anyone with contrary evidence, to come forth with it. He maintained that such rumours of him not resigning formally from the PDP before joining the Labour Party are baseless and false tales being spread by his detractors who are envious of his political progress despite being a relatively new person to Anambra politics. He however insisted that he remains undeterred and was confident of victory since he was the candidate to beat at the polls.

Speaking on leadership/legislative requirements for the the position, Nwawelugo reeled out his experiences to include being President of the prestigious Rotrary Club Ikoyi and many national and international trainings and certifications. He affirmed that these exposures make him immensely qualifed and most prepared to occupy the seat and represent the People of of Idemili South. He decried the current lackluster and substandard representation of the Constituency and vowed to offer quality and effective representation if elected.
Dr Sir Uche Obienu responding to a callers question on integrity of politicians, said he as a person is well known for being a man of his words and pledged not to go back on any of the campaign promises he made to his constituency. He listed those promises as contained in his manifestos to include efficient non-discriminatory representation, attracting development and dividends of democracy to the Constituency and making the lives of his constituents easier and better. He emphasized the essence of engaging youths and making them employable via skill acquisition and entrepreneurship trainings, sponsorship and creating job opportunities and wealth creation. He pledged to harness and direct the zeal and skills of the youths of the Constituency towards more productive and beneficial ventures like sports and creativities.

He further revealed that for over ten years, he had been impacting lives in Idemili South Constituency and beyond via his Uche Obienu Foundation. In his own words " For many years, I have done quite a lot (of philanthropic projects) as a private citizen. For example, in every town in Idemili South dozens of youths are enjoying my scholarship and sponsorship programs. I also sponsor a youth empowerment program here on Alpha Radio (oge umuntorobia) for over six years now. All these with my private funds as a private citizen. If given this opportunity (the House of Assembly) I shall do so much more for the good people of Idemili South".
Sir Obienu urged the people of Idemili South not to be demoralized by the outcome of the presidential election but to continue their support for Labour party and for Peter Obi by coming out to vote for him and other Labour party candidates across the state on March 11. He also hailed the Obidient family for their resilence and massive participation that saw the relatively unknown Labor Party clinching 2 out of the 3 Senate seats and 7 out of the 11 House of Reps seats in the state at the February 25th polls and promised that the Labour party will not disappoint Anambrians and Nigerians. He specifically congratulated Sen Victor Umeh (OFR) and Hon Uche Okonkwo (EbubeAgu) for winning the Anambra central senatorial seat and Idemili North and South House of Reps seat respectively and prayed that the winning streak continue into March 11 for the House of Assembly elections.
